Virtual Blocks extend the power of your application, allowing you to integrate 3rd party services into your recipes such IFTTT, Send Emails, Play Sounds, etc. To install Virtual Blocks and Widgets you need a Kitsunei Account, if you don’t have one yet, read the How To Create A Kitsunei Account article.
- Sign-In using your credentials:
- Click twice on the Quick Menu button (bottom right ‘+’ icon) until you see the secondary menu. Click on ‘Marketplace’:
- From the Marketplace window, scroll through the list until you find the block you wish to install and click on ‘Install’. This block will be downloaded to your computer and added to your account, so if you login in from a different computer, the system will recognise the Virtual Blocks you have already installed and download them automatically for you:
- Once the installation is complete, close the window by clicking on ‘x’ bottom located on the top right corner. Open the ‘Quick Menu’ and you should now see the new block from the list:
The process to install Widgets the exact same, just repeat steps 2 and 3 to install the widget you wish to add such as the "Numeric Display":
To use the new widget, switch to the ‘Dashboard’ view from the top centre button of the screen:
From the Dashboard, access the Quick Menu by clicking the bottom right ‘+’ icon. Instead of the default list of Hardware and Virtual blocks, the list now shows just the Widget type blocks you have currently installed. One of them should be the one you just added.
